The Getty and LACMA may be getting all the spotlights when it comes to the museum scene in Los Angeles, but there are so many other interesting museums in LA. The museum of Jurassic Technology is definitely worth a visit if you want to get off the beaten path.
Overall, the museum is confusing. I spent 90% of the time wondering what the heck I was staring at. I mean, check out their website, aren’t you already confused? But generally, it’s about early human inventions and advancement in the area of crafts, technology and arts.
The museum has a lot of unusual objects that are unclassified and sometimes hard to understand, but they are all what the early people used to make. Some are fail creations while some inventions were crucial to the existence of technology that we all use and love today like an RV, a cube, camera, telescope, illusion, etc
Aside from all the exhibitions, there’s also free tea and cookies on the top roof garden, which sadly were all eaten when i was there.
I find it quite fascinating and the displays are pretty cool. The exhibitions are engaging and it’s more than just walking around and looking at things; they encourage you to touch and see things here.
