Go back in time or the future at Time Travel Mart in Echo Park

Here’s another cool and weird place in Los Angeles. You gotta love big cities for endless of these unusual and creative stores.

Time Travel Mart has a bunch of quirky stuffs related to time. Well, you know like dinosaur eggs, jurassic park pills, cavemen roommate listing, ice cream machine that only works yesterday, and many other humorous things. The store is small but it’s worth a stop if you’re in the area. I just love all things weird, so i had a blast at this place. Oh, when i asked the store owner what year it is, sadly, he said 2013. I wish it was a different year. I asked if he will be back tomorrow, he said that he was already here and it’s pretty good.

This store is actually a part of 826LA, which is a non-profit organization that helps kids with writing. It’s a great organization and it has a couple of locations in LA. Here’s their website and you can become a volunteer or learn more about how to help in other ways.

Time Travel Mart has two locations; one in Echo Park (near downtown) and one in Mar Vista (near Venice, CA). This is in Echo Park right by the Echo Park Lake.
