I figured that if I do at least one cool thing every weekend, that’s more than 4000 cool things in my life time! This blog is about cool, unique, random, weird, and awesome places to explore in California and nearby places like Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. Subscribe to my blog and join the adventure.

No matter how overwhelming or heavy life is to you, try to make the time to enjoy yourself at least once a week. One cool thing every weekend shouldn’t be too hard to do!

Check out my life list to see all the activities that I want to do before the end of 2013

If you know of cool places that I should visit or just want to talk, please email me at!

Thank you for reading!

  1. Really like this concept – to do just one new or interesting thing a week.. a friend of mine has a blog called Weekends in Malaysia where she tries to find something cool to do each weekend – much like your blog! Will be following!

  2. What a great idea! We spent 5 years in Wellington before we left NZ and still sometimes think about the things we never got around to doing there. It seems crazy when you think about all the weekends you just spend at home doing nothing. Now we have to try not to make the same mistake with a year in Darwin!
Thanks for stopping by and liking our blog post too!

  3. Just found this website off of Yelp because I was doing some research on Joshua Tree for an upcoming day trip. I have got to say this website is incredibly inspiring. I’m a young twenty-something-year-old girl living in SoCal and trying to explore the world. I’m really trying to get out there and experience as much as I can and do as many hikes as I possibly can. You have such a fantastic list of things to do in just SoCal alone that I have already added to my list of weekend trips to make! Thank you so much!!! I started following you on Instagram and Facebook (plus I subscribed to email) so I am looking forward to following your adventures. I hope I can do some of them myself in the near future. This is a fantastic blog idea!

    1. Wow, this has to be one of the best compliment i’ve ever gotten. Thank you so much. I started to really push myself and try to out there and explore over a year ago and it has completely changed my life, my personality, my attitude, and my outlook on life for the better. Thanks for all the follows and i’ll be sure to keep on posting. Please let me know if you ever have any questions about these places. Have fun exploring 😀

      1. That’s fantastic! Well you have definitely inspired me, so I can’t thank you enough for that. And thanks! – I’m looking forward to all the exploring! 🙂

  4. Hi!
Awesome Blog, will have to check out some of these places you’ve been to! You seem to live a really exciting life, very motivating!

I stumbled on your blog through the Los Angeles tag and wanted you to be one of the first to know that we are launching an event website called wigo events. Our site focuses on a community of users in Los Angeles sharing cool events that they know about, and we would love to have you be a part of it! If you are interested in being one of our very first users please leave us your email address at the link right below, sorry its so long, don’t know how to add a hyperlink in the comment section haha. Once our site goes live in the next few months, we’ll let you know!

  5. I just found this blog and I really love the concept. I am going to Los Angeles for residency interviews this week, but I’ll be there for 2 weeks and have ample time to explore. I already looked at your off the beaten path post…any other posts you recommend viewing? I’m a New Yorker living in New Orleans with interests in medicine, art, hiking, and all things strange. Thanks for your site!

    1. Thank you Yvette your kind words! Please let me know if you have any questions about these places. If i can answer them, i will. Glad that you are coming and hope you have a blast here!

What do you think about this cool place?
