Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo, CA

The town of San Luis Obispo is a little gem along the highway 1. The town has several great restaurants and a well known shopping area. If you need a stretch break on your trip, make sure to add Slo to your agenda. This place is a little gross but if you aren’t germophobic, the Bubblegum Alley is worth a quick stop when you visit Slo.

Bubblegum Alley

It is believed to begin after WWII where the graduating class of San Luis high school would come to the alley and add bubblegums to the wall of the alley. The alley has gone through several cleanups due to hygiene concerns, but the traditions remain and students and visits continue to add bubblegums. The alley is 15 high and 70 foot long.

The address of the alley is  733.5 Higuera St. San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

Here’s the video I made of the alley.

What do you think about this cool place?
