Fisher Tower: Popular Rock Climb From Citi Bank Commercial

You may have seen the popular Citi Bank commercial below on TV some years ago. A lot of none climbers may have a hard time believing that the commercial was real. I mean, the climb looks so unreal, so i understand that why some people have a hard time believing that it was real.

Here’s the commercial.

But the climb is completely real. The rock is called Ancient Art at Fisher Tower in Moab, Utah. Fisher Tower is a popular hiking spot right near the town of Moab. The hike is beautiful with stunning vast view of the desert valley. The rock towers in this area are still really spectacular. It is an absolute must do when you visit Moab.

overview

Where: Moab, Utah near HWY 128 and the Colorado River that runs through the town

GPS coordinates: 38.725195,-109.309336

Getting there: From Moab, turn right on HWY 128 easy and drive for about 21 miles. There will be a sign that says Fisher Tower. You’ll drive on the dirt road for a few miles until you reach a parking area.

Trail: 2.2 miles round trip, easy, and well maintained.

Highlights: Great rock formations, wonderful easy hike

Nearby Hikes: Delicate Arch at Arches National Park, Negro Bill Canyon, and Corona Arch

Most people visit Moab for Arches and Canyonlands National Park, but there are so many other cool hikes in the area and this is one of them. I went here in the summer, and it was boiling hot. But i didn’t know when else i’ll ever get to do this, so i did the hike anyways. The hike itself is super easy. It is mostly flat, but the heat is what makes it hard. If you’re lucky, you may get to see a climber ascending that rock.
